The First Day of Ridván

Today is the First Day of Ridván, the most important Bahá’í festival of the year. It continues for 12 days. Ridván means “Paradise,” and is pronounced “Rezwan.”

Last night after sunset we elected our Local Spiritual Assembly. On April 28 our National Convention will begin in Montreal, where the delegates we elected in February will elect the National Spiritual Assembly.

This year, National Spiritual Assemblies will be elected in 180 countries and regions.
